More than 80% of our carbon footprint comes from how our machines are used in the field, where fossil fuels still dominate. That's why our decarbonization journey goes beyond reducing our own emissions—we're fully committed to helping our customers reduce theirs.

Our journey is about real, measurable impact.

It's about battery-electric loaders and trucks that eliminate diesel emissions. It's about circular initiatives that give equipment a second life. It's about digital solutions, remote-controlled equipment, and automation that optimize energy use. And we're not traveling alone. We're on this journey together with our business partners. We are committed to offering a full range of emissions-free products* by 2025 for underground operations and by 2030 for surface operations. Our battery-electric machines are already making an impact, provided renewable electricity is available for charging. We make our customers' electric journey easier by providing charging infrastructure, energy management solutions, and battery-as-a-service options.

* Emissions-free products are products that do not emit exhaust gas or other pollution from the onboard source of power, also referred to as zero tailpipe emissions.

Together with Boliden and ABB, we deployed Sweden s first fully battery-electric trolley truck system, a breakthrough that drastically cuts CO₂e emissions and reduces the need for ventilation in mines.

Through our Reman Program, we maximize the lifecycle of components, reducing waste while offering customers cost-effective, remanufactured parts. Additionally, in our facilities in Fagersta, Sweden, all metal waste is carefully sorted and returned to the manufacturer, lowering the CO₂e footprint, improving quality, and reducing costs.
