To foster a more inclusive and diverse culture, we now launch a gender-neutral global parental leave policy. This offers at least 12 weeks of paid parental leave to everyone, across the organization.

We want to accelerate the transformation in our industry. One important part of this transformation is the focus on inclusion and diversity. The new policy, called “When life transforms”, applies to all new mothers and fathers, including same-sex, surrogate and adoptive parents. The leave can be taken anytime within the first year of parenthood.

Our 12-week parental leave policy gives all parents, regardless of where they live, a generous amount of time to bond with their new child and adjust to their new role. Many countries currently have local standards that offer more than 12 weeks, and of course these shall prevail. On the other hand, in several countries, parenthood is difficult due to short parental leave. In many places, fathers have no parental leave at all – they will all now be covered by this global policy.

We believe this will have valuable benefits for our employees and for us as an employer. We want to attract highly qualified talent that can accelerate the transformation in our industry. Our culture of inclusion and diversity will achieve that through better decision-making and creating the right environment for continuous innovation.
