We've established a commercial Moon mission partnership with ispace. Under this partnership, we've contributed a specialized bucket and technology for ispace's rover, aimed at gathering lunar materials or study.

ispace, headquartered in Japan, is a pioneering company in lunar exploration with the long-term goal of expanding human activity into space and fostering sustainable life on Earth. Their initial focus is on lunar surface exploration and collecting essential materials and data.

The mission, called M2 and planned for late 2024, will see ispace conducting a soft lunar landing and deploying a rover. This rover will utilize the bucket developed by Epiroc to collect lunar surface samples for analysis, marking a significant step toward understanding the lunar environment. Epiroc also provides sophisticated software to operate the bucket and other related technologies. This groundbreaking technology was created at Epiroc's central hub for research and development and production in Örebro, Sweden.
