“Congratulations to the award winners, who are true representatives of Epiroc’s core values innovation, commitment and collaboration,” says Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s President and CEO. “I’m proud of all the ground-breaking work produced by the organization that makes our customers’ operations more safe, productive and sustainable.”
The United in Performance Award honors exceptional customer collaboration. It is presented to teams in Epiroc’s Tools division and at mining company Boliden AB for their collaboration that turned sustainability goals into measurable results. Together, the teams delivered the industry’s first life-cycle analysis for rock drilling tools, integrated into a new digital reporting platform. The solution has enabled Boliden to monitor, in real time, the CO₂ emissions linked to its drilling tools usage. Through innovative drill bit solutions and a closed-loop recycling model, Boliden reduced the drill bit-related CO₂ footprint by more than 90% while improving safety by removing the need for underground grinding. The collaboration is a stellar example of responsible productivity, circularity, and long-term partnership. The award winners are Johan Jonsson, Joakim Kemi, Jonas Falkeström and Fredrik Gransell from Epiroc, as well as the Boliden team.
The Inspired by Innovation Award honors Epiroc’s most innovative technical development that has proven commercial success. It is presented to teams in Epiroc’s Surface division and Technology & Innovation unit for having developed Common Automation Panel, which completely redesigns remote drilling. CAP replaces traditional cabin‑style operator stations with a digital automation platform built for mixed‑fleet environments. CAP’s proven performance is strengthening Epiroc’s leadership in next-generation automation. The award winners are Mahmood Hassan, Patrik Malm, Alexander Kihlgren, Mayya Popova and Christopher Blignaut.
The Dare to Think New Award gets its name from Epiroc’s vision. It is presented to teams in Epiroc’s Parts & Services division and Digital Solutions division for redefining service from reactive support to a partnership driven by outcome. With a new intelligent platform, the teams have enabled predictive maintenance, improved parts availability and proactive planning. The highly customer-centric initiative is strengthening Epiroc’s role as a true performance partner to its customers. The award winners are André Steenkamp, Christel Füllenbach, Jonathan Batchelor, Paul Lucas and Willem Botha.
