Atlas Copco wins equipment order for mining and construction projects in Turkey

Stockholm, Sweden, February 1, 2017: Atlas Copco, a leading supplier of sustainable productivity solutions, has won an equipment and service order valued at MEUR 22.2 (MSEK 210) from Turkish mining and construction company Cengiz Holding A.Ş for use in mine, tunnel and highway projects.
The equipment includes the Simba ME7 C long-hole drilling rig and other machines to be used in the expansion of an existing copper mine and the opening of two new underground mines. The order also includes raise boring machine Robbins 91RH for construction of the new Zigana tunnel in northeastern Turkey, as well as Boomer L2 D drill rigs for the construction of the Northern Marmara Motorway near Istanbul. All the machines are known for their energy efficiency, safety and ergonomics.

The order is booked in the first quarter 2017, and the equipment will be delivered in 2017.
